Dear Sir,

Re Patent Carb: Jector - Vacuum Silencer.

In reply to your last letter.

If we are in Blackpool in the near future we will call and inspect your car. We will let you know beforehand, the time of our arrival.

We have heard from your Mr Hunter, but have not been, as yet, able to fix up for the loan of a silencer.

With reference to your inquiry regarding the highest compression used on a petrol aeroplane, or car engine, the highest which we are aware of, is 6.2 to 1, though it is possible that this has been slightly exceeded. None of our engines are made with anything like this compression.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED.
