c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} 800a CONFIDENTIAL. 27th. May 19391 BY.9/N. Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re: "Cresta" - 4.B.50. We thank you for the patterns of grey jewelescent paintwork attached to your letter of the 26th.inst. and regret that none of them are approved. We are returning them under separate cover, and the one which has the most bronze tinge we have marked with a 'X' at the back. We would like a pattern to be made with very much more bronze in it, and a coarser grain of metallic base, more like the pattern we are sending produced by Messrs. Goodlass Wall & Co. It is suggested that your jewelescent finishes are very dull, lacking in light. With respect to the headcloth and leather, we agree to the dark red leather and headcloth 9682, which are pinned together, and which we are sending back under separate cover. In a separate packet we are returning all the patterns of headcloths you kindly sent to us. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS. | ||
