Rolls Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Fowler Clark, In reply to yours of the 9th inst., the cells that we sent you for test had all got the thinner separation. and although two of them have the old type of plates our reason for wanting you to test was to confirm that the new plates are better than the old and we wanted to give both equally good conditions and give them as much electrolyte as possible, so as not to be unfair to the old plates by giving them less, and that is why the separation was made the same. With regard to the battery on my car, these cells have both new type and old type of plates and thick and thin separation in various combinations. Yours sincerely, G.R.N. Minchin | ||
