Streamline Saloon.
Bentley Chassis B.23-AE.

Chassis B.23-AE has been allotted to me for the streamline saloon (The Shop Window car). The body, which is almost complete has many new features including cycle type front wings.

It would be a great help, and a saving in cost to us if we could run this car over some bad roads in London, before it is sent to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} so that we can get Messrs. Park Ward to make any modifications to the body that may be needed.

We have asked EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} to send me the carburetter parts which have been removed to prevent the car being driven by the coachbuilder, so that we may do so, and are informed that your sanction is required before this can be done.

Will you kindly ask EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} to send the parts, provided there is no technical or Sales Policy why the car should not be driven. The writer would make himself responsible that the car would not be driven by anyone other than himself or JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager}
