With reference to Mr Royce's suggestion that a standing order be issued to the Repair Dept. concerning altering the angle of the pivot on all repair cars where necessary to mitigate steering wobbles, we note your instructions that we should immediately act on same and instruct all our Repair Departments in various parts of the world.

In connection with this we would like to draw your attention to an extract from Mr Haldenby's report which we are forwarding to you by the same post. He states :-

"I have tried a car with the rake of front "axle ⅛" in 8", i.e. 1 in 64. The steering "was not quite so self centreing and the "wobble due to out of balance of front wheels "did not appear to be affected in the "slightest."

In view of this contradiction between Mr Royce's theory and the opinions of the Experimental shop, we thought that same should be pointed out to you so that if you so desired you might delay the issuing
