X4338 GOSHAWK 11. PRACTICAL WIRING DIAGRAM.

Replying to your memo. By8/F31.3.22. It is intended that this diagram should be a practical diagram in the sense that all the instruments and apparatus are shewn in their relative positions, but of course not to scale, so that a man inspecting the electrical system would be able to identify any particular part or wire by referring to this diagram. It may be said most instruction books have such a diagram in addition to the technical diagram for the benefit of customers who are not specially technical, and also because they are useful in easily identifying an instrument the purpose of which is otherwise not very obvious. It is not desired to shew the back end of the frame on this diagram as we do not wish to shew more than is absolutely necessary to identify the various components, and the relative positions will be sufficient for this purpose. The sketch shewn on the back end of the frame on our drawing was purely for your information.

With reference to the alterations recently instructed we should like to point out that the one referring to the position of the tail lamp wire was contained in your memo Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M8.2.22. The one referring to the Junction box for the coach lighting has only arisen due to Mr. Evernden's visits to the coachbuilders, and as a result of discussion with them.

Regarding further alterations we shall of course try to make them as few as possible, but I am afraid we cannot guarantee that we shall not want to alter this diagram as the result of further progress or difficulties. We understand that the diagram is being re-arranged in accordance with E2/M4.3.22.
