To Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7770 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJLA/LG22.1.29. CHASSIS 8-EX. X180 The above chassis is fitted with the following experimental, non-standard parts :- Chromium plated water pump spindles - can be used. Special carburetter body with altered low speed choke and air valve. Rear silencer - 'Scarab' treated, - can be used. Exhaust snout in xx Staybrite - can be used. Duralumin servo wheel. Rear brake linings slightly altered - unless the linings are sufficiently worn down to require renewal, the exisiting ones can stop on. Cadmium plated front road springs - these can be used. Ignition coil. Battery ignition distributor head internally varnished - can be used Park Royal Ammeter. Front brake squeak dampers - these are std. experimental for the additional liners between the dampers and the drum. Switch box - this has been modified so that the Stephen Grebel spot light is switched on with the side lamps and off with the head lamps, in conjunction with an extra tumbler switch. The arrangement is quite satisfactory and could be left on the car if desired - we do not require any of the parts.
