the problem is particularly difficult because the volume of sound from a shock absorber varies so with the type of body to which it is fitted, thus The Test Dept. cannot always detect a damper which may cause a customer to complain in the finished car.

We think we shall shortly be able to make a recommendation to bring the 20 HP. rear damper in line with the others for silence.
