RE. ILLUMINATIONS OF INSTRUMENTS. X4067

Referring to your SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}25/BM251023., re the above, we note that the Sales Conference for the time being has decided to drop the idea of luminous dials.

We do not know quite what this means but presume that it is intended to go no further with the use of either transparent opal dials with a light behind, or the use of luminous paint on the hands and figures.

Since this question of illuminating instruments has come up repeatedly at intervals of about 3 months for the past 2 years or more, and we ourselves are rather anxious to see something better than the present C.A.V. lamps as now fitted, we think it would be nice to carry on with the experimental work.

We would like to know the reasons and experiments which led to the decision that the Sales Conference came to. Perhaps you would kindly favour us with further information.
