With regard to the heaters which you are proposing to fit as part of the standard equipment on certain of the Wraith bodies, these will, of course, require a control rheostatic switch and in view of the objections raised to the two types of switch at present available, namely Clayton and R.R. Clayton, we have had a switch schemed as per DCD.709 attached.

This, we think, will be more satisfactory and better looking than either of the above switches, and is likely to be intermediate in cost, i.e. will cost something in the neighbourhood of 7 - 8/-.

We would like to know how soon you will be requiring switches for the above heaters as we have to make tests on this switch before approving of it and getting it manufactured.

We would also like to know whether it is essential to have the knob and dial chromium plated or whether moulded black or some alternative colour finish could be tolerated, since the chromium finish considerably increases the switch price. We would like an early reply to these queries.
