Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MHR.{M. H. Rigby}3/ET.29.10.40 - 2 - Thus for a 32.2 ft/sec² stop we require a pedal pressure of 12950 / 138.4 = 93.5 lbs. theoretically or 12950 / 95.3 = 136 lbs. actually. It will be noticed that the actual front to rear brakes ratio is in each case 1.30. In the case of the all Lockheed system, a ratio of 1.37 has been decided upon, and as the efficiencies of front and rear will be nearly the same, this will in fact be the actual ratio, and should be satisfactory for our project.
