TO BM. FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. to PL HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} PHANTOM MAGNETO COUPLING. X.4017 We send herewith drawing LeC. 2416. shewing a modification to facilitate the adjustment of the magneto timing. We understand that in the usual way the magneto coupling nut is freed against the resistance of the timing gear spring drive, but with this method of undoing the coupling the position of the magneto timing might be lost if the cone should come free without being knocked. It is therefore thought to be an advantage to provide some means of holding the coupling. The fixed spanner shewn is the largest one of the standard RR. series. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
