It would therefore seem that we should have to build a car for you. The quickest thing to do would be to make a replica of 49GB but we are not sure whether you would consider the experiments embodied in this chassis worth the necessary expenditure. What we should most like to do if it had been possible would be to have built up one of the Northcliffe chassis for you but unfortunately we have very few instructions yet from the Drawing Office for the Northcliffe engine and they appear to be too busy on Aero Engine work to think of tackling the job. To endeavour to make a compromise by building you a special chassis incorporating a number of Northcliffe parts would, we fear, necessitate a lot of designing, and you already know how extremely busy our Drawing Office is in every department. Perhaps after reading this memo you will kindly instruct us what course we should adopt. Mcr. This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
