TO BY, FROM AJS. C. to - BJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} EFC. ORIGINAL x7625 PHANTOM STARTER MOTOR. x.7625 RECEIVED We send you herewith drawing LeC.2330., shewing Phantom direct drive 13 to 1 ratio starter motor, the principle of which has been described in a previous memo. You will note that this drawing has been made for a starter motor behind the flywheel, but since arranging it in that position we have discovered certain advantages in placing it in a similar position to the present Goshawk starter motor, and are sending you a drawing to follow this one which will indicate it in that position. It will also have a different cover at the driving end, and be attached to the flywheel casing by set screws similar to Goshawk, in place of the long bolts shewn on this drawing. We expect to send you a separate drawing also of the terminals. Would you kindly let us have a print per return of LeC. 2330., as there are one or two little additions to be made, such as providing lubrication for the rear bearing etc. AJS. | ||
