ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/KT.1.7.33. BENTLEY - SPEEDOMETER CALIBRATIONS. With reference to BY.6/G.30.6.33. The figures given in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/KT.28.6.33. were for India tyres. We are proposing to fit India tyres, therefore this information is exactly correct. In any case the variation between Dunlop, Goodyear, and India, the three possible tyres for the Bentley is not more than 1 1/2%, which is less than the difference between a new and worn tyre, so there need be no apprehension with regard to ordering speedometers. With regard to rev. counters, in order to avoid customers running on the critical crankshaft speed, the dial should have a red segment from 4500 r.p.m. upwards.
