It would appear from the experiments on Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car, that rattles in the transmission are going to be susceptible to accurate damping in the clutch centre.

We should therefore carry out experiments to see :-

1. Whether the construction of the Borg & Beck clutch centre is sufficiently good to permit of accurate damping being obtained.

2. How long the damping is likely to last.
