we will send a pipe to you.

Our tests proved that if we can only obtain good mechanical distribution, by this we mean, if we can only get the same amount of liquid petrol into each cylinder, there is not any great advantage in the hot spot because if an equal quantity of liquid petrol gets into each cylinder, the cylinders themselves form the most effective hot spot and combined with the compression, we are sure that the petrol is properly vaporized. The trouble is, of course, that it is very very difficult to get mechanical distribution with liquid petrol. The slightest difference in the contour of the pipes upsets the whole effect. It is possible, however, with our present design of pipe with the 1" pipes through the centre, to get remarkably good mechanical distribution and we feel that if we can only be sure of getting identical results with every pipe, it would improve considerably the behaviour of the engine.
