(1) 20/25. LOW RATING FRONT ROAD SPRINGS. (Agreed by R.{Sir Henry Royce} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} & DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design})
R.{Sir Henry Royce} remarks "Flexible springs permit a top heavy
"car to roll, and which spoils its straight running
"qualities, so keep down the C. of G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp}, and with
"ample damping we shall give satisfaction."
DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} remarks "If the stress is too high it can
"undoubtedly be reduced by increasing the number of
"plates and re-arranging their thicknesses."
