To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. [Handwritten] J 300a Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.13/AP. 17.6.37 32-EX. FAN BEARINGS. We have had some complaints of Ph.III. fan bearings squeaking owing to lack of grease, and think that the present grease used for packing the hubs has a too low melting point. Will you therefore strip 32-EX. fan before it is refitted to the engine and pack it with Belmoline 'c' grease (which we believe is obtainable in the Works) and ensure that the hub is completely filled with grease.
