400c Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. C. c. Sr. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/ML.19.4.40. COMPLETION OF CORNICHE CARS. During Sr's recent visit I discussed with him the possibility of getting the Corniche body completed in France during hostilities. He said that there would be no difficulty about getting a temporary importation permit for the chassis and that the body could be fitted and the car returned to England if duty was paid on the body. He agreed that Vanvooren was no longer in existence but that he was having his coachwork made at Kellner's and that Paulin was operating from Kellner's, and would be glad to supervise the construction of the body. We suggest that under the circumstances this would be the best way of getting one of these cars made. If you agree we will ensure that one Continental chassis is available to be dealt with as outlined. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
