To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c.c. to CJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7390 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}6/M2.2.26. EAC.8. WING STAYS. X.7390 X.4555 Herewith we send N.sch.2136 shewing the sheet metal wing stays for EAC.8. We have been working on these in conjunction with the dipping head lamps, but as we consider there is no likelihood of the latter being ready for the first chassis, on this drawing we have fixed lamps carried off the wings stays. It may be however that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has already got a cross member with the necessary sockets, and if so, we shall be quite content if the first car has lamps carried in the standard way. In any case, in view of the experience in France we do not want another set of the old type dipping head lamps.
