re Peregrine and Bentley.

Replying to your memo Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}5/T.19.6.33. we are not doing anything further with Peregrine at the moment in view of the decision recently taken with respect to this chassis.

Regarding the Bentley, the following are the items receiving further attention from the Design Department, and the position.

No.1. Exhaust Cutout.

The exhaust cutout designed for the Bentley chassis is satisfactory from a mechanical point of view, but does not give the right effect as regards noise. We are, therefore, fitting the Silver Ghost type as on the first chassis, and the scheme is practically ready for issue. We have utilised the same type of control, and there is really very little modification required.

No.2. Engine Gears.

Instructions have been issued for producing a set of 10 DP. engine gears with Fabroil camshaft wheel. We have also very nearly ready a scheme for a balancing cam to fit into the existing engine behind the camshaft gear. In the meantime Works are to proceed from hand to mouth on this section as per your instructions.

No.3. Brake Adjustment.

Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} has nearly ready the designs for the modified brake adjustment with an accessible wing nut on each road wheel.

No.4. Modifications required by the Sales Dept. for the purpose of disguise.

These are well in hand and instructions will be shortly completed.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
