We noticed on coming out, that there was a bad propeller shaft vibration. Upon investigations the mechanic joint and the dampers were running badly out of truth.

The reason of this was the nut holding the drive on the third motion shaft, was fouling in the recess of the Hardy Spicer coupling flange, which was not allowing the faces of the flanges to come together.

The sketches show them where the nut was fouling.
