Dear Mr. Turner, Confirming the Writers visit to your factory on June 26th. We left with you our drawing PL.689, showing the alterations necessary to your model 60.DCA carburetter, to suit our Meteor engine. These modifications are as follows :- (1) The shape of the air inlet facing. (2) The body, local to the above facing. (3) Length of throttle spindle and bushes. (4) Re-arrangement of throttle stops and spindles. We would use two carburetters per engine, both being alike, except for the throttle lever fixing, which in one case is on the opposite side. It was agreed, that you would go ahead with the mock-up of a pair of existing carburetters, so that an early check test can be carried out. We shall be pleased to have your revised drawing of the inlet flange, so that we may put in hand the "centre section", which forms the common connection to the air cleaners. -continued- | ||
