Re Edison Cells - X.50.

R.{Sir Henry Royce}
Mr Nadin has forwarded us a copy of 19/6/13. your memo R4/B14613 in which you state that you have not yet received the comparison of the weight of the Edison cells compared with the usual lead accumulators. These weights were included in Mr Ellis's report on March 13th which we forwarded to you, and were as follows :-

Edison's - Total weight including tray 32¼ lbs for 8.5 volts
Exide Cells including box 15 lbs for 4 volts
Premier 8 volts including box 44 lbs 10 ozs.
Edison 8 volts including box 32 lbs 10 ozs.

In regard to the second part of your memo, Mr Ellis reports :-

"Edison cells certainly do vary a great deal "more than the lead cells especially when "compared with the Exide cells"

We send with a further communication a book of squares containing the charging and discharging curves of different makes. Mr Ellis wishes this returned to him when you have finished with same.
