To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to BJ. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} R4/M16.11.26. PHANTOM. X.8770 X.8430 X.8410 The riding and steering qualities can be improved by reducing the weight on the front wheels as follows :- (1).... Short chassis preferred. (2).... Spare wheel at rear. (3).... Battery in frame. (4).... Lighter engine, clutch, flywheel, radiator, and bonnet. The steering should be the slowest possible. This is better than an increase of B.HP., but we should like both.
