RE STANTON TESTS - PARTICULARS OF TESTING+ With reference to the Stanton tests, the following information will probably be interesting to you:- (1) The test piece itself is .500" outside diameter. (2) A notch .050" deep is cut into this, leaving an effective diameter of .400" with sharp corners at the bottom of the slot. (3) The piece is supported between centres .500" apart.
