To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} (X634) DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M2.7.27. STEERING COLUMN VIBRATIONS ON 10-EX. X.8430 X.8774 X.634 It appears to us that a further stiffening of the column itself would be the thing that would do most good on this problem. Could you try a column 2¼" in dia., the std. is 2", and we have recently given you one 2.250" in connection with the friction and spring control on the column. We suggest that you might like to try 2¼". From the verbal report you gave us it seems that it must be the tubular column itself that is bending. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
