X.3916.HC. ZR-6 AMERICAN BOSCH MAGNETOS.

We have run one of these magnetos for about 1000 miles on Experimental cars at Derby. We have experienced no trouble. We can obtain better slow running than with the average Watford Magneto. We can run with wider spark gaps at the plugs.

The American Bosch Company are prepared to guarantee these magnetos for as long a period as we guarantee the pieces we manufacture ourselves. They are prepared that each magneto shall be submitted to a test for workmanship, efficiency and silence. These are better terms than we obtain from the Watford people.

The price of this Magneto was 35 dollars compared with 92 dollars as the cost of a Watford magneto at Springfield. We realise that there has been a reduction in the cost of Watford magnetos but we should anticipate that a similar percentage reduction will be obtained for the American Bosch magneto.

We recommend that the American Bosch ZR-6 magnetos are standardised for cars made at Springfield and that cars made at Derby should be despatched to Springfield minus magnetos.
