To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [struck through] re Springing. [Handwritten]: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [Handwritten]: V 7410 [Stamp]: RECEIVED 11 FEB 1931 Whilst I am aware as per your recent note that you decided on the type of springing, i.e. flexibility etc. for chassis for America, I am not clear as to what has been decided for at home. What I have in mind is that the 40/50 HP chassis for home, as far as I know, are still being sprung in the same way as they were prior to the experimental work with the more flexible springing as on 58-GN and your visit to America. Would you please let me know what it is proposed to do. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
