HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Sn.{Mr Sanderson}2414.7.1.41. PII DEVELOPMENT WORK 114° CAMSHAFT. We carried out two tests on this Camshaft. (1) R.M.P.37. This test was to determine whether any advantage would be gained from a shorter duration exhaust cam. The results shew that there is nothing to be gained by shortening the duration of the exhaust cam on R.32448, the P.V. 114° shaft. (2) R.M.P.38. This shews that we can expect to gain nothing further on this shaft by increasing the valve lift with the existing size of valves.
