Dear Tan.,

Referring to our conversation the other day, we shall be perfectly willing to try some forged magnesium pistons if you can get your people to manufacture them for us, and give you an unbiassed opinion of what we get out of them for motor-cars.

We leave the design to you, and would machine them ourselves. As you point out, you can see the design of aerolite pistons at Slough, but I think you had also better see one of our split skirt pistons. If magnesium would function as a split skirt we should prefer it, because for some obscure reason, aerolite pistons produce more bore wear than the skirt piston type.
