To R.{Sir Henry Royce} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Dn. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/MJ.23.7.30. x7480 x7941d PHANTOM II CLUTCH. We have a report from C.W.H. that the clutch on 24-EX. car has failed. The pressure plate which was made in cast iron has cracked. We have not yet seen the cracked plate but as the failure appears to start from the inside, we are making the bore smaller and testing them to destruction. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
