Mr. Hancock from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

It has now been agreed that the SS.{S. Smith} shall be put into production and material ordered immediately.
We can therefore settle down to our job of work.

We are proposing to prepare a list for the Works showing which parts we think are absolutely safe to proceed with, another list which shows parts which should be proceeded with slowly, a further list of parts which should be held up.

We should be very glad if you would give us your views on how the parts should be classified.

I feel rather concerned about the failure of the central lubrication on 18-EX. I think we should prove that it is the filters becoming stopped up on the drip plugs which caused the failure. I feel there must be a very good reason for Bijur recommending pumping every 50 miles. As there is no pressure on the oil after it leaves the drip plug, if a shackle once becomes rusty, it is possible the oil will never get through.

We should like you to contd :-
