7. - Cast at 660° as an experiment to determine the absolute minimum casting temperature.

(d) Merlin Cam Bush - D7848/9 - these castings were made in this material -
1. - Cast at 685° - Casting Cracked.
2. - " 660°
3 - " 670° 11.50 a.m.

(e) Standard Billet Die as used in production for AC7 material -
1 - Cast at 720°.
2 - " 715°
3 - " 710°
4 - " 700°
5 - " 690°
6 - " 680° 12.15 p.m.

(i) Experimental die producing strip suitable for bending :-
1 - Cast at 710°
2 - " 700° 12.25 p.m.
