Dear Sirs,

With further reference to your letter of 20th ultimo, we have not been able to reply fully before now pending receipt of date from our suppliers regarding the cost of the plant alteration necessary to provide the existing cover for Battery type 6.XHR9-1ML with alternative cable slots suitable for the 6-XSM7 as used on the Bentley cars. Our Sales Department will communicate with you on the question of prices, but we are dealing immediately with the technical points.

We are assured by the suppliers that the cover can be provided with alternative cable slots as desired.

We welcome the suggestion that the Bentley type battery 6.XHR9-1ML be standardised for the 20/25-HP cars, because this will give 14% greater capacity. This additional capacity will be advantageous, as we have gathered that in some particular instances the capacity of the battery on the 20/25-HP car has been found rather too near maximum possible demand. We shall be glad to go further into the matter with you at an interview at your convenience.

Yours faithfully,

THE CHLORIDE ELECTRICAL STORAGE COMPANY LTD.
