GEARBOXES.

Before OY. returned to U.S.A. he was naturally interested in the development of the silent third and the easy change box.

As practically all the American cars are fitted with some form of silent third, it will be a point of which will be raised against the Phantom ll when we take it to U.S.A.

We attach herewith copy of a note we have received from OY., in which it will be seen that further improvements have been added to the spool type of gear in order to give a more silent change. It will be seen by his note that the Automotive Research Corp. Warren, Ohio are sending to us one of their latest four speed boxes which we can return without any charge if we are not interested.

We should like to know whether, when the gearbox arrives, you would like us to try and adapt it to a 25 HP. car, or whether you would like to examine it first.
