CJ & Na.{Mr Nadin} Put a double brake on the road at once. Run 200 miles a day, pref. in France. up to 10,000 miles. Shel not take more than 10 weeks. Post. effect on 2700 series prod. 22-4-13

?r.{Sir Henry Royce} axle control. ? spring coupling. marginal impr. 72 m.p.h. 2500 rpm. Valves float at/extend 2250.
* For Brooklands demo 18/52 inst of 16/57. Stronger Valve springs. higher compr. (75 for 80 indic of 64). Large carbs req. for pipes. Post Benzole for higher compr. Brakes Adj. have been used on the test car. 19-5-13, 26-5-13

R to CJ. Ref car that goes mountaineering - 3rd journey of 1500 miles 1 hour journey work. No brake adj needed. Neat hand brake adj desired. Existing one needs a pit. This one can be done in white kid gloves. R promises a disruption. Why? what. Pleased that no major alts needed. 7-6-13

Opinions on D.R. brakes on 2300 with 0/15-7-13. Heavy land. today met fast & heavy run on continent of 3,228 miles.
* Also 2301 - over 5,000 miles. 2,300 - completed 10,000 miles. Rr Brake shoes materials. 31-7-13

FHR Log:
29-4-13 FHR - They do so many good things, for us. worth a week.
5-5-13 FHR - 100 mph. up to 72 mph. Travel not improving anything better.
28-5-13 FHR - Car R/T for mountaineering. Nothing to report. Going well.
10-6-13 FHR - Action wonderful. improvmt while chassis quieter. Doesnt want up any more than cd be put on.

9-6-13 Hurst - dinner of 2301. V.{VIENNA} efficient. little springiness in mech/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore}

R to J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 31-7-13. By say D.R. Brakes will mean freedom from R's 2301-7-13 trouble. Hope he is correct. Still experimenting. Shd like R.{Sir Henry Royce} try SINGLE HELICAL BEVELS. but fears little faith. double helical sh. that let the makers try.

(Side notes: Platform Plated, misgiving) several vibration & fans - disagreed. Second of its kind. rust in was a 2301 & second a 2300. Ask for a week-end test of a pressed 'axle with D.R. Croker.

o clearances increased. Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} reporting today, hard drawn Copper liner. Horsey seize & tear up badly.
thermoid - customer controlled well. Enqd to CJ re project letters.
