We have been in communication with Helsby Works, and they confirm that Thursday next, the 8th instant, will be a very convenient date for them, and they will be only too pleased to discuss this cable with you and also show you round the Works.

We understand you intend to travel via Chester, but we consider it rather a tiresome journey on that line. We would respectfully suggest that you consider travelling via Manchester Central and arrive at Warrington Central where we could meet you by car. A train, according to the guide, leaves Derby at 9.4 a.m., Manchester Central 10.24 a.m., departing Manchester 10.30 a.m., arriving 10.48 a.m. This would appear to be a good train. The return journey could be as follows: Warrington Central 3.55 p.m., Manchester Central 4.15 p.m., leaving Manchester Central 4.25 arriving at 5.43 p.m. The train from Derby (via Crewe) would be Derby 9.15 arriving at Chester 11.32 a.m.

We shall be very pleased to meet you at whichever station you decide if you will kindly inform us the place and time of arrival. The registration number of our Helsby car is D.J.5805.

Awaiting your comments,

We are, dear Sir,
Yours faithfully,
BRITISH INSULATED CABLES LTD.,
p.p. C W Healey
