W/S. To F.{Mr Friese} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. C. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} X6095 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/AD30.1.33. RE : PATENT SPECIFICATION NO. 321247 Replying to your F1/JL26.1.33, we have looked over the specification and consider that the idea is certainly in advance of the usual American practice of locking the ignition coil only. We think, however, that the idea we have in mind for our future chassis of providing a master switch controlling the whole of the electrical circuits on the car is preferable, as when this master switch is locked it is impossible to use either the starter motor or the ignition circuit. We should not therefore consider this scheme worth adopting on our own chassis. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
