TYPE 7¼ RD-G (UNIT TYPE)

For transmitting not over 65 lbs. ft. torque, normal Passenger Car Service.

Facing size 7¼ ins. × 4⅞ ins. × ⅛ in. Total facing area 21·2 sq. ins.

Six springs with 650 lbs. total plate pressure for maximum capacity.

Unit pressure per sq. in. 30·5 lbs. with maximum spring pressure.

Mean radius 3 ins.

Clutch release lever ratio 4 : 1.

Release bearing travel required to release clutch 5⁄16 in.

Wear-in space to be provided in addition to release bearing travel—⅛ in.

Recommended release pedal ratio—8 or 10 : 1.

*Pressure required at release bearing approximately 200 lbs.

Available only with 1 in. dia. S. A.{Mr Adams} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ten spline fitting.

Can be installed in No. 5 or larger S.A.E. bell housing.

Release bearing—Carbon Graphite—furnished with clutch.

Means of adjustment for wear—Pedal only.

Weight cover assembly (added to flywheel) 9 lbs. 9¼ ozs.

Weight driven plate (added to transmission shaft) 1 lb. 6¾ ozs.

Total weight 11 lbs.

* Makes allowance for friction in release mechanism and spring build up.
