SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} C. to R.{Sir Henry Royce} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HE. BV. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} re. BENTLEY. As we have had so many different editions of Bensport, we think it should be made clear now we have classed our drawings. The nomenclature is as follows: (1) Supercharged O.H.V. 2.5 litre, called Bensport 1. or B. 1. (2) " Peregrine, Bensport 2. or B. 2. (3) Bentley with J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 1. engine and central levers, Bensport 3. or B. 3. (4) Bentley with J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 1. engine and side levers, as finally agreed to, called Bensport 4. or B. 4. To coachbuilders we use the word 'Bentley B.' and not Bensport. The latest chassis to them is Bentley B. 4. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
