Minutes of Meeting held at Clan Exptl:. Saturday May 24th. 1940. The following modifications to the Rippletto specification (first car) Issue 1, were agreed to for specifying the final Development car. Where a section is not mentioned it is unchanged. Page 1. Brief Description of Specification. Engine. R.R. piston and aerolite rings. Horizontal S.U. Carburetter. Junior engine water pump and fan. Transmission. Clutch. 9" Dia: clutch, heavy type flywheel. Gearbox. Junior Rationalised box with Manual column gearshift. Prop. Shaft. Split shaft, small joints - No.1300 simplified centre bearing, slip joint on gearbox. Rear Axle. R.R. Junior Range. ratio 4.56 to 1. Brakes. All hydraulic, Tandem Lockheed Master Cylinder. Alum casing - 2 leading shoe. Handbrake - tubular, lockheed bisector no walking stick. Frame. Revised front pan - to be added. Steering R.R. Junior Column & Box, rubber joint on worm shaft. Dash - Senior Range Sheet Steel mounted on Harris bushes. Rear Springs. 50 x 2 Toledo Woodhead.
