Page 80. Line 14.
Suggest that 2 to 2½ seconds is better.

Page 84.
Following the two paragraphs in leaded type at the head of this page, there might well be a third giving careful particulars for the ascertaining of the polarity of any source of external supply of current.

Page 105.
Here also it would be well to amplify the description of the method of pole-finding by pole-finding paper in quite elementary fashion. Remind users how batteries should be connected up as to their poles for charging, remembering that many owner-drivers and a large number of chauffeurs are entirely ignorant of electrical matters.

Page 117. Paragraph 1.
Should not this figure be more than 5,000 miles? The wording almost suggests that the car should be returned to "W" or "N" every 5,000 miles.

Page 132. Lines 9.10 & 11.
Is this correct for the present type of rings?

Page 132. Line 32.
Substitute 50,000 for 20,000.

Page 135.
Has it been considered whether a caution should be inserted anywhere in the book against warming up the car in a garage with the door shut? It is common to see our cars being warmed up with a fully rich mixture and a fully retarded ignition.

Appendix XVI.
I suggest, and this recommendation is borne out by the other Inspecting Engineers, that any use of the word "School" should be dropped in connection with the Demonstration Class at Derby. It would mean rewriting Appendix XVI.
