21st March, 1921.

Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
Nightingale Road,
Derby.

Dear Sirs,

X.4279 Large Armature Type Magneto.

We were very pleased to have the opportunity of showing the progress made with this magneto to your representatives last week and also of the opportunity of showing them over our Works.

Your Mr. E.W. Hives requested us to go fully into the queston as to how soon we should be able to submit samples of this magneto and to write you on the matter.

We think it will be possible to submit a sample in from four to six weeks. Work is proceeding on six machines and the remaining five will be completed very quickly after the first one, if this meets with your approval when completed.

Our Mr. Allen will call on you with the first machine immediately it is ready and the manufacture in quantities can follow very quickly.

This matter is being pressed forward as quickly as possible and we hope that when you see the first magneto completed it will meet with your approval.

Yours faithfully,

For and on behalf of

NORTH & SONS LTD.,

(Sgd) C.H. KIRBY.

Director.
