Please note that the correct lubricant for Hypoid bevel gears is Whitmore's compound No. 'O' variety. We should do all our testing with the above, and axles should be delivered with this lubricant in the rear axle box. All the experimental cars fitted with Hypoid gears are running on the above lubricant. This instruction therefore brings the Works into line with the Experimental. BY.{R.W.
