SECRET. GRY{Shadwell Grylls} Any comments? 1382 Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}1/HP.22.5.37. Rhs Wraith Chassis. We attach herewith a list of the design work completed on the Wraith chassis since our last report E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}1/HP.13.4.37, and also particulars of design work at present in hand. Revised Engine. The final design instructions, controls etc. have been completed and issued. Jackall Jacks. No jacks have as yet been forthcoming from Messrs. Smith's. We have, therefore, in agreement with the Experimental Dept. completed the design work for using the latest cheapened D.W.S. scheme, the same as will shortly be used on Phantom III. Frame. Design instructions have been completed for various frame experiments, viz. .125" thick frame, additional lightening holes in the cross, "I" section cross, deletion of the sidemember outer plate between cross, bolted up battery and second crossmembers. The remaining design work on this chassis has been in connection with cost reductions and modifications found necessary as the result of experimental tests on the first two cars. E/Lid.{A. J.
