Messrs. S. Smith & Sons (M.A.) Ltd.,
Cricklewood Works,
London, N.W. 2.

For the attentinn of Mr. Bailey.

Dear Sirs,

"Jackalls".

With reference to our telephone conversation of this afternoon re the above.

The writer understands that the front brackets which you sent to us for chassis 5-B-IV are of the strengthened type, and has despatched same to our Tester in France as such.

We understand that you make a pumping unit which operates each wheel individually or all four wheels collectively, this being the case, we should like to try this scheme out, and propose having it fitted to chassis 28-EX in place of the present scheme which jacks up both front, both rear, or all four wheels. This will no doubt necessitate a different scheme for the pipe lines which we suggest should be of steel instead of copper.

If you will kindly notify us as to when the Jack which we returned to you is completed, we willgive you a convenient date for the work to be carried out.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
