EFC. X5783do Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/WW1/EW9.3.28. 20HP. Chassis GCK-76. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Bartram, Esq. With reference to your EFC3/T8.3.28, we gather that the Chassis numbers and letters issued to the "public" do not convey any information to you as to whether a chassis is a 20HP. or a 40/50HP., and in future, therefore, we will endeavour to remember to pre-fix the Chassis number with the H.P. corresponding to that number. Omissions may occur, as we are so very accustomed to quoting Chassis numbers only in interdepartmental correspondence, but we will see what can be done towards providing you with the information you appear to require on occasions such as this. As requested we attach copy of our letter of the 27th. inst., addressed to Mr. Bartram, which was sent to him in accordance with the suggestion in your memo of the 24th. ult., reference: EFC5/T24.2.28.
