re Bensport.

We send you herewith a blueprint of LeC.3167 showing the Bensport blower and mounting on the crankcase.

This scheme is not completed, as you will observe, but we want to give you some idea of what the nose of the blower is likely to be, so that you can see how to arrange the shutters of the radiator.

The scheme does not yet show any end views of the oil pump on the nose of the blower, but this information will be added later.

We have examined your preliminary drawing of chassis N.Sch.3516, and from what we observe it is still the intention to have the radiator matrix and water tank arranged above the body of the blower with some sort of frame work to carry the shutters down over the front of the blower.

We are pleased to see that the scheme for passing cool air round the blower has been retained.

We are assuming that the starting handle shaft will be .625" in diameter, and will have serrations on the end for picking up the starter jaw carried permanently in the nose of the blower, and that when the starting shaft is not in use there will be a plug, or cap, screwed in, or on the portion of the blower projecting through the shutters.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
